Does anyone know anything about them or even use them as their supplier?

Looking at their rates, they seem cheaper than E-on (only on the standard tariff but not on standard plus). I'm getting sick of the service I receieve from E-on so I'm tempted to change. I just want to know if they are a respectable company and whether the meter installation and IGT fee are necessary?

Any help welcome!

I was just checking money supermarket. The reviews vary massively. Either 10 out of 10 or 1 out of 10, hardly any inbetween.

I suppose the people who are "fairly satisfied" don't feel the need to praise or complain?

Hi, i work for a corporate Utility consultant, and I have just had a look on Spark's website. I have never heard of them, although I do not deal in domestic usage but have heard of all the wannabes, and these do not even feature, although they do claim to do business, and generation. The web site is amatuerish, and i would need the price to be extremely cheap to give them a go. They claim they are getting energy from renewable sources, but everyone knows that is more expensive. I imagine, from previous experience, that they will sign you up on a cheap rate, and increases costs shortly after. The likes of Bizz energy, E4B and others have tried this, and they stick around for a bit, go bust, get bought by British Gas who then stick you on an astronomical rate for the transfer period.
hope that helps

Edited to add, i have just got a quote from them, i have both gas and electricity with Eon (in the Kent area) and my costs would increase from £1116 per annum for both to £2124!!

a big thumbs down for this lot. (Fuel only) nothing but pain, unhelpful staff and premium rate numbers for customer support

switched to EDF, now saving £200 per annum. and helpful pleasant staff too.

I looked at EDF and the rates per unit are higher. E-on are not my favourite, although I've found them better than British Gas. I'm keen to avoid 'the big 6' if possible.

My current rates are:

Electricy: Primary Day - 32.52p Secondary Day - 12.84 Night - 4.69p

Gas: Primary - 6.219p Secondary - 3.388p

3% discount for early payment each month.

Spark are the only ones I've found (so far) with cheaper rates. Gas is my biggest expense.

Whilst you may wish to avoid the main companies, I would avoid the little companies like the plague. I work for Eon, and whilst I work out in the field, rather than the offices, 90% of the trouble I have is with the little suppliers ballsing things up.
