I spotted a couple of rogue slugs slithering across the kitchen floor so I thought I'd administer some ointment before they started breakdancing (or whatever else they intended on this fair Apr Morn).

fk ME !

I thought salt was bad for them. Now I know it is. frown

WTF is that all about ? They were popping and spitting like a De-catted Cerbera on steroids.

Sorry, slugs. :|

Joking aside, I feel st. Pissed I may be but I never thought a single sprinkle of a household good could make me feel like Josef Fritzl.

Think you're right, Ricky lad.

A bit of water suckage taking place. Not nice to witness but to be fair, I've learnt a new word because of it.

That's evolution for you. wobble

When we moved into our new house we had loads of slugs on the lawn, my O/H put down so much salt that it killed half the lawn as well.

And people say salt isn't good for you.

I have a very thorny acacia tree and I have to say it's excellent for keeping off giraffes - I've never seen one ever since I planted it.

Our slug and snail population, which was HUGE was decimated by visits from song thrushes last year. I really don't like killing things so I just let the garden get it's own balance and after a few years it did.

Although the plants are now knocking on the kitchen windows like triffids hehe

Does the same treatment work with our wonderful Chancellor Darling? The thought of him bubbling and exploding seems quite fitting.

Aw, poor slugs. Can't you just throw them outside? Let nature deal with them?
