Does anyone run a glazing company or can recommend one that supply specialist glazing for wide openings? I'm having a single storey rear extension built, and would like to open up the back of the house as much as possible (a glass wall that can be opened up in warm weather). I've had some quotes for aluminium bifold doors to give a clear opening of 6m, which is really what I want, however it's blimmin expensive (£10K fitted) so I'm having to consider other options!

Two or three sets of patio doors would give a nice airy opening (allbeit with column/brick pier between each set) but the opened doors then create a restricted area on the decking outside. I've never been a fan of sliding doors, but if I can get two sets at, say, 3.5m each, then these side by side with doors sliding opposite ways (again with a column between the two) I would have a reasonable sized opening of over 3m and without any obstruction on the decking area outside. Bifold was the obvious solution, but so far appears to be cost prohobitive... Can anyone help?

No responses?! Blimey, I used to have to fight off glazing salesmen, and now I need one they've gone shy!

I have nearly seven meters of bi-fold doors that were put in by a company called Sun Paradise. They are a custom height and width and we are very please with them. Cost just over £7500, not cheap but I think they were good value. They were also one of the only companies that would guarantee water proof fit for a flush floor

A deck will be going in the the next few weeks
