I am sick to fking death of the two pheasants on my patio underneath the bird feeder, I have hit them with water, rocks and my stick, but still no joy, what can I put down to make them go away?

I might try the old raisons soaked in brandy otherwise.

You have a bird feeder but do not want birds?

My wife wants little birds that feed off the feeder, I do not want the bds that make a mess of the patio and peck through the lining!

In response to everyone else, we are well out of shooting season unfortunately.

A Black Labrador is your best option. They will hug them and pet them and call them George+

+ Caution Hugging and petting process may cause death of pheasant

Shooting season, pah. You're just shooting vermin really. Just don't let anyone catch you!

Urban myth alert!!!

"Allegedly" pigeons will explode if they eat iron filings or refreshers sweets or (randomly) paracetamol. This is due to them supposedly not being able to burp.

Worth a try?

ETA this is probably bks and probably wouldn't work on pheasants any more than sky-rats.

OK here goes a sensible one from a game keepers daughter [i[ "give the pheasies a reason to go elsewhere" [/i] so put some feed outside of your property and hassle them when they're on yours!

They seem to like the smell of the front of my car, had another one yesterday.

By the time I'd done a bit of shopping and came back someone had removed it.

We have a friendly pair that do the same thing , the other birds seem quite happy to feed alongside them.

They have though just discovered that it is easy to fly onto the seed tray and plunder a couple of the feeders.

My only dislike is the males call at 5.30 every morning

Anything and everything that little birds like is also liked by Pheasants and Wood Pigeons. You can't attract one without the other. You can also not discourage the pheasants without also discouraging the other birds.

Either learn to like them OR. You will need to trap them or shoot them. If your wife will get all upset use a humane cage trap and simply release the pheasant thirty miles away.
