Now that spring has sprung and the summer is upon us, I have almost finished my garden after a few years of hard graft, it was an absolute pile of rubble and weeds! Just a new fence and a bit of pointing to go. woohoo

Bring on a nice scorching summer cool

I have got some before pics somewhere, will try to dig them out.

As for the bricks, I took down a couple of chimney stacks on one of my jobs and recycled them. The bricks are like a wire cut brick, nothing special.

The lawn was only laid last Tuesday, I used Rolawn Minster Pro, I am going to try and get it like a putting green to practice my putting on irked I need all the practice I can get hehe

Very neat, but - wait until you wake up one morning and find that all your lovely turves have a 1" gap between them. May is not a great time to turf - have a sprinkler ready and lots and lots of water.

Thanks Dominic, That fence is shocking so I am going to put a close boarded fence up there as soon as work goes quiet.

Nice work! I bet those Dicksonias (tree ferns) cost you a few quid... I notice you also have a number of other specimen plants such as the Trachycarpus and Acer. Did you get them wholesale as they'd cost a hell of a lot retail???

Hi Richard,

I use a company in Richmond Upon Thames http://www.palmcentre.co.uk/ For all the big stuff, about twice a year they have an amazing sale up to 70% Off, dong get me wrong still strong money but a big saving.
