Just about to start building a deck, 4.8mtrs x 3.5mtrs, with a corner cut off to give it a bit of shape, (if you see what i mean), frame will be 6x2, with support posts in all corners, and one extra along the 4.8 length, (in the middle).
Joists will be fitted in hangers on one of the 4.8 sides, and screwed through on the other end, (just can't get to one side as it's against a wall).
Will be fitting noggings between joists to stop flexing.
Does this sound about right, or have I missed something.

Keep in mind the joists should be at a maximum of 400mm apart.

I'd use hangers at both ends, dont rely just on screws.

I missed that bit...use 'mini jiffy hangers' if you cant get to the wall, they surface fix & will work a treat.
