Hi,

Has anybody purchased or installed stainless steel balustrades in your gardens?

My garden is currently having a major facelift - basically it used to be on a raising slope, but now it is terraced with retaining walls etc.
The first facing retaining wall is approx 5ft tall off patio area, the idea is to have some kind of safety barrier that does not impare view further up the garden from patio.

I have seen lots of examples on web of stainless ballustrades with glass infills or tension wires but looking for a recomended, competitively priced fabrication company to buy from.

I have found these two companies;
http://www.swr-handrail.co.uk/
http://www.fep-railings.co.uk/
who both look quite good. has anyone used them or have any other recomendations or even ideas? I am leaning towards stainless balustrades with rail and 3 x tension wires. approx 6 meters long with 1 meter at 45 degrees (where steps cut in).

Many thanks in advance,
Cheers

We used these folks for a juliet balcony when we did the loft conversion.

Competitive on price and good quality product - been fitted 18 months and there's not a mark on it (as you would expect smile )

Get in touch with Paul or Emma at balconies direct

http://balconiesdirect.com

I'm sure they will be able to come up with something at a very competitive price.
