Just a quickie.
I have a 3-bed detached house sitting empty that may as well be used to make some money.
My local agent has two deals:
1) Introduction only: Fee equal to one month rent (£750).
2) Introduction + management: Introduction fee of 75% of first month rent, plus 10% monthly fee thereafter.
Does that fair or should I shop around? Or haggle - and if so, on what grounds?
NB Fees are + VAT

I can't really comment on the amounts really. But my only suggestion would be look carefully who you use.
Myself and 3 others are tenants in a hosue let by YourMove. I can honestly say i have never been so shocked by people's inability to manage something. First off, their fees are more than everyeone elses, then they dished us out the wrong forms at the beginning. O and there is the small problem of them being 3 dumb women that obviously never speak to one another. It takes ages to get anything sorted with them. Appauling service really.
Rant over! =]
