dozy/stupid/dithering sellers

First of all. Arggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Right. Sold our pad and need to move out in 3 weeks time.
The house we are buying the dozy sellers have only just had a survey done (allegedly) after 2 months.
They are buying a new build and just changing the mortgage with their existing lender (allegedly).
Anyhoo we need to sortout a roof over our heads so do you think its unreasonable to say we want exchange this friday to complete in 3 weeks time. Of course they will have to go into rental or lodge with friends/family.

I guess its down to how much they want to sell. We have offered over the current market value for a quick sell so know they wont get an offer of the same any time soon. Cant believe they have dithered so much to only have the survey done on their new build.

If they wont I guess we can go in rental and then we havent got the hassle of selling again when we decide to by again.

I think the ultimatum tomorrow is either exchange and into rental on friday or accept a £15k drop in our offer price.

Is everything in place on your sale? Buyer done his survey, mortgage approved, all searches back, etc? 3 weeks is way quicker than usual, particularly if you've got a chain.
