Well, I had a 6 yard skip a while ago which I brimmed and thought would be enough but since then I have dug up a patio and have a shelaod more mud.

I have a quote of 150 for a grab lorry - cheapest price by a good £30 so far - anyone had cheaper?

All of my soil is bagged up so I am hoping to be able to just leave it on my lawn and for them to take it - anyone know what the range is? Also, if they use soemsort of claw to pick the bags up there is a high chance of the bags splitting and leaving soil all over the road, right?

If you can get materials delivered to a spot i.e. from a crane on the back of a lorry, you can get it picked up via grab load.

They work using a bucket/ scoop as shown below. you don't have to bag the rubbish. You can make a pile and it'll dig into it and clear it all up if it's easier for you.

It is already bagged up in my garden (not accessible with lorry) so we will just dump it on the lawn, my worry is that the bags will rip leaving fine amoutns of soil and rubble on the street that will be too small for the lorry to pick up.

Oh well, we'll see what happens then!

You could try putting some boards out first.

Then if it rips any bags it will fall on to the board, making it easy for you to sweep up later on.

You could also try and stack it in piles so that grab can get around it cleanly, but that might be a bit overkill.
