Yes, I know I work for Wickes and get 20% off, but 20% off "a lot" is still "a lot" and I don't want to spend a fortune on a set of simple mixer taps for the kitchen.

Before I start a-Googling for decent priced taps online, does anyone have any good recommendations?

Cheers,

The Moose.

Avoid Bristan, we've had too many problems with them lately.

Toolstation - http://www.toolstation.com/shop/Taps+Showers/d240
Screwfix - http://www.screwfix.com/cats/A272451/Kitchens/Kitc...

Or try the clearance stores with the old MFI stock - http://www.tradingbargains.co.uk/ - they had kitchen mixer taps for about £25 when I went there.

Sounds dodgy but we got our kitchen mixers from ebay for 25 quid each - lovely they are.

I can't for the life of my think of the companies name but I buy all my bathroom stuff from an (Italian) wholesaler of sanitaryware, taps and tiles.

They are based in Altrincham, Cheshire but sell online through their own site and eBay.

I have Otto's (the head honcho) number here if you'd like it.

I thought Wickes only did cheap taps anyway, how much are you looking to spend???

As little as possible. And, by the way, Wickes supply a wide range of quality tapware, in a variety of styles to suit every budget. So there wink

Sorted it anyway; popped into my local store and there was a set of chrome (effect) mixers reduced to clear. Got them for £25 after discount.

Thanks for the tips though.

+1 some real bargins on ebay, got 2 cascade taps off ebay for £25 each (most bathroom shops are £100+)

Just look for power sellers with good ratings.
