Anybody know what the best treatment is for woodworm, its in a table and chair set that she has in an upstairs room. Is there a liquid treatment or should I just chop her pride and joy up for firewood?

Thanks in advance

Cuprinol & Rentokil from B&Q, do a 5 star treatment that both kills and prevents woodworm.

But try to work out where it came from.

Woodworm prefer damp wood. Have a good look at the windows/floorboards/roof of the room that the furniture has been in over the last couple of years.

I have just bought a gallon of Boron 10% liquid http://www.boron.org.uk/boron_in_water.htm from www.propertyrepairsystems.co.uk for about £30. Treated loads of timber. In fact I have just treated the backboards in an old mirror I bought because of the holes.
