Just need a fan for my desktop, I've had some in the past which were total cack...
Surely with the advances in technology we now have some kind of super dooper fan that spits ice at me or something ?

I got a 4ft tall towerfan from B&Q last year for £20 which does the job.

Remote control, variable speeds and swing motions with a digital display.

How did we manage as a society in the dark times before fans had digital displays?

Seems so long ago and primitve now.

I know, it was a terrible dark time when you had to press the button a number of times to figure out which speed was which and the instruction manual if you were weak enough to read it was in some strange moon language.

Thank goodness we live in an age of enlightenment and pointless electronics.

All fans do is waft the warm air about. Can't see the point myself. A paddling pool might be a better investment and will keep you cooler biggrin

So those tower fans are ok then ?

Yeah you are right they just waft warm air about but my window is wide open so hopefully it'll push some air and stink out as well wink

Getting married brings a nice icy chill to the bedroom, but it is considerably more expensive.

Makes up for it being hot and steamy before you get married.

Yes, but the warm air passing over you helps you perspire, and so regulates your body temperature.

Last night the breeze dropped to nothing at 9pm, then didn't start again until 5am. A fan would really help!

I'm about to look at one of these for a corporate film we're making.

Should do the trick nicely.
