I would like to cctv my parking area at home. But would like it to run it into a computer and say re-write over its self every 2weeks or so? allowing enough time for holidays etc. I would like say 2 or 3 cameras to cover the whole area. i will be using a seperate computer used just for this purpose , will i require any special graphics cards i assume i will require a program (what ? which is the best?)

so i basically want to know: how? and who? has this type of thing and whats the results? I,e any problems?
cheers johny

I could detail my setup but to be honest there are so many options available each solution will be individual. Briefly most IP cameras can be setup to record/snapshot/timelapse any movement detected both to a PC and FTP offsite. Also think about monitoring at night e.g. IR lamps, floodlights etc or the images are just to grainy to be of any use... If using wireless, which can work brilliantly, best conceal them and secure the images they produce accross IP to your router etc. I use panasonic cameras which you can pan/zoom remotely.

Cheers
