Hi we have a 4 bathroom house and when somebody is using another shower or tap in the house you can only get a trickle out of another shower or tap , how can we rectify.
Many thanks in advance.

Do you have a hot water cylinder or a combination boiler?

Is it the hot tap that's a problem?
Or cold?

If you can afford a 4 bathroom house you can afford a plumber hehe

If it's the cold water supply, make sure taht the stop cock inside your house and the one outside are fully open.

It's possible you simply don't have enough height or head of hot water (and perhaps the pipes are too small as well).

If that's the case you can install a small boost pump which switches on when you turn a hot tap on - this would provide enough flow for at least two taps (or more if you fitted a bigger pump).

Such a pump should cost well under a hundred.

After buying a 4 bathroom house I can't afford a plumber - have you seen what they charge !!!.
Anyway it's the cold , the stop cock is on full inside where would I find the outside one would it be near the meter down the road.

Usually the mains water will only go to your kitchen taps and the cold water tank, the cold to the shower will come from the tank in the loft, which also presurises the hot water tank, so the outside stopcock shouldn't effect it straight away, only gradually as you run water out of the tank faster than it's filling.

I'll be honest. I only have 1 bathroom so I don't know if your problem is normal with only one mains pressure supply.

A coup,e of things to check.

Pipe size, 15mm or 22mm?
DOes the kitchen tap/one bathroom tap have decent enough pressure?

My stop cock outside is in a hole in the pavement. It may be different for a property your size but there'll be a cover with water or H20 on it I would imagine. It may be buried in shingle, lawn etc so perhaps check your deeds.

Sounds like the shower (pumped I assume?) or tap (pumped of gravity fed) are taking all the water available. Pipe runs too small diameter? Does the shower have a separate connection to the tank/ cylinder than the other taps?
