Walnut flooring - Oil or Lacquered?

As per the title. We've found the floor we like - now do we have it oiled or lacquered finish?

Which finish do you prefer?

Lacquered will require less maintenance.

Problem with varnishes and laquers is that it is generally very difficult to make small repairs without it looking a mess. wax or oil based systems are much easiser.

Me too Not cheap but very good.
Satin is more popular. Two coats looks just right.
