Sounds like a lot of hard work will be involved. Perhaps something like this
would help.
Or, try something like white-spirit to try and soften it up first.
ETA: It might be worth trying an hot-air gun on it, but would make sure of good ventilation in case of fumes.

Add in a stupidly hot powerfull hairdryer, as heat should help soften the glue as well.
