Any domestic gas fitters around?

Err ... uhm ... would there be such a thing as an acceptable rate of loss of gas in a domestic system? I just noticed the flat I'm renting seems to be magically consuming about 20 cubic feet of gas per day according to the meter ... except the only thing in the flat that burns gas is the central heating and it is still off. I guess it must be leaking out somewhere. The heating system is ancient, so i wouldn't be surprised if a valve isn't sealing properly any more. I haven't smelled gas building up anywhere, and the flat is pretty drafty so I very much doubt this level of leakage is dangerous in this instance. However, it is a bit worrying.

Should I
(a) ignore it
(b) allow the landlord time to deal with it
(c) vacate the premises forthwith sporting a tin-foil hat
