Probably not a 38 page epic topic leading to numerous members being banned & the topic being locked, but it's important to me all the same....

Top soil is nearly down (about 15 tons) just needs final "whack" then out with the new spreader. But.....

Is it too late in the year to seed a new lawn?

Live in East Lancs - quite rural bordering fields so pretty exposed to weather.

Getting quite late in the season for seeding, however grass seed only needs temperatures of around +6C to germinate.

If you get it sown in the next week or two it should be fine. You can always over seed again in spring to thicken up the sward.
