We're in need of replacing our garage carpeting. I use the word carpeting in the losest terms, as it's really a layer of felt-type stuff - i.e. no vertical threads as you'd have in the house.

Anyone know where I can get this stuff?

Is it underlay? If so your local carpet place should be able to help you out.

It might be, it's not spongey.

yes

Felt underlay used to be very common before foam underlay took most of the trade. I'm pretty sure you can still buy it. As the above post says, try carpet suppliers or John Lewis etc.
