Council Tax and single garages.

I had thought of renting a single garage just to store a car (and ineveitably some junk too!)

However, I have been offered the chance of buying one which is in a court of similar. There is no power there and it is some distance away from the current owner's house but in quite a secure position.

Clearly if I were renting then the garage would be considered ancilliary to the house which owns it. But what happens if I buy? Will I get a 'rates' bill off the council?
