Any glaziers here?

As a bit of an afterthought to my "glass desk" thread, before I more than likely go order one from Habitat, the scrooge in me thinks that £150 for a sheet of toughened glass seems a lot of money.

The local glazier isn't open today, anyone have any idea if a sheet of properly finished toughened glass is likely to be significantly cheaper from a glazier?

Looking at around 150cm x 80cm.

Approx £120.00 based on 10mm toughened with polished edges.

6mm would be significantly cheaper if you deem it strong enough poss £30.

I can buy a 4mm toughened double glazed unit (4/20/4) for less than £30 per sq m
