Estate Agency working hours???
Discussion
Got emailed about a house in Tooting. I work in Docklands..
Just rang up.. "oh no sir we dont do evening viewings, the latest we do is 5:45". I was like WTF? don't people who buy your houses have jobs? She didn't seem to understand that people might not work 10 minutes from where they live and can't leave at 5. She didn't know what to say when I said 'alright for some'. She had no shame and said "we are not foxtons... they work till 7:30 some days!"..... yeah no sh!t there is a recession on, try doing that most days you lazy f***king b!tch!
I would NEVER sell my house with [estate agency that sounds like a blood pumping organ] if they want to keep normal office hours in sales. They get 1% of the sale price of the house FFS!
It seems like the property market in SW London has got THE MENTAL again already and is going North rather quickly.
grrr..

Most I know do 9.00 - 5.30 Monday-Friday, and 9.00-4.30 on Saturday.
You could always do an evening/Sunday viewing with the vendor, assuming the property isn't vacant.
And many will work an hour or two either side of these times, too. Not that necessarily will they be available for an accompanied viewing within all of those times. You could always do an evening/Sunday viewing with the vendor, assuming the property isn't vacant.
To the OP, surely you can understand that some businesses may choose not to be available outside of what might loosely be termed office hours? It is a business, so in a medium term period this company may regret not being available for you later into the evening. I know it's obvious, but I assume you've already looked into a viewing with the vendor or perhaps a weekend viewing, or even leaving work early? Also, have you asked nicely? Many agents will work unusual hours if they deem it likely to be to their benefit. Bear in mind, though that experience shows many genuine buyers who absolutely MUST see a property at whatever o'clock on whatever day turn out not necessarily to be the best use of resources. The reverse is true of course, so if you sound good to them they may prove flexible.
And please hold it with the personal attacks. Although I have nothing to go by but your post I don't think the abuse is entirely necessary. Chances are this lazy b

Happy hunting.
When I was an Estate Agent, there I said it, I was an Estate agent! I used to work generally from 8am to 7pm, maybe later if there was a good viewing (a good chance that I could sell the property) and never had a lunch.
The industry is based on commission so if you want the money you have to do late viewings regardless of opening and closing times.
