Chaps,

Simply asked.

What's the difference between a T2 and a T3 light bulb?

I.e. between something like this:

http://www.toolstation.com/shop/Lighting/Energy+Sa...

... and something like this:

http://www.toolstation.com/shop/Lighting/Energy+Sa...

Same manufacturer, same output, same cap ...

It is the diameter of the tube in 1/8ths of an inch. T4 is a 1/2 inch tube. T3 is 3/8ths etc.

Doesn't seem to make much difference in performance, brand will be more important to lifespan - and price of course.

Edited cos a bit of that was complete bolloox.

Very helpful - many thanks!

From your post it sounds like there isn't much to choose between them.
