Hi all,

With an offer accepted on a plot we will need to fit stone cladding to the building, as it already has detailed planning on it.

What price per square metre are we looking at on something like this? I've seen a couple of sites and my first calculation came out at £26,000 so I obviously am missing a trick somewhere?

(edited)

Just looked at some basic style brick cladding and for a 10 X 8 Metre 2 storey house it works out at around £6500 in materials alone, which isn't too bad? I have no idea on fitting costs though, it's something i'd rather leave to the professionals as it is such a big feature.

There is a place near me where they have tried to make large diamonds, yet how they did it has meant you get different sized ones and a half finished one, it ruins an otherwise lovely extension.

I'm thinking light blue with accents of purple idea

11,000 bricks = £4000

Brick layer with good reputation for great work = £4000

Not too bad a price I think.
