Harveys - Is this a good deal?

Does this sound like a good deal? What's Harvey's stuff generally like?
They're also giving an extra 10% off until the end of today, basically meaning you get free delivery for the same price.
Also, Sleepmasters (within Harvey's) are doing a kingsize memory foam mattress for £250, am i right in thinking that this is a reasonable price too?

See my recent post about Sleepmasters - a £400 mattress that's subsided after a few months and they're refusing to do anything about it.Just a story about Harveys ,
my elderly parents purchased some armchairs from them 18 months ago , on one of them , the seat collapsed after a few weeks .
I had visited them and noticed my father still sitting on a pile of cushions and asked him what was wrong .
Harveys had been to repair the chair once , and told him that if it happened again they could not do anything more , as chairs nowadays are not meant to be sat in so frequently and as he was a pensioner he was overusing the chair , he is very frail and lightweight so no bluto problems there .
I did manage to get it sorted after making some extremely polite calls ,considering the b
ks they spouted , so just beware .
Harveys will see none of my money .

The bed frame may be ok for the price, but I'd certainly be upgrading the mattress - a cheap mattress is really, really nasty and just won't last.
Memory foam supposedly retains heat, so can be sweaty if used as a mattress, or so I was told - might be worth a bit of research.
Harveys stuff is just the same as any other retail park furniture place - it's ok, but don't expect it to last for years. We had a wrought iron chinese table and 6 chairs from them and you couldn't eat at it - two people cutting something on their plates at once meant the table shook so badly you'd spill your drinks. Or maybe it was the wife's cooking

Well, we decided to buy it, although that may well come back to bite me in the a**e judging from some of your past experiences!
I know the stuff aint the most expensive in the world, but the bottom line is, we cant afford to pay £1200 for a mattress, although it would be nice if we could!
We have a 5 year gaurantee with the mattress which i thought was very good, and the only thing that comes flat-packed of the furniture is the bed, so ill have to produce my best screwdriving/hammering skills to make sure it lasts a few years!

Use glue and prep the touching surfaces first ( if you not planning on moving to soon ), you can make crap furniture better by assembling it really well in the first placeI know the stuff aint the most expensive in the world, but the bottom line is, we cant afford to pay £1200 for a mattress, although it would be nice if we could!

I wouldn't even buy a cushion from Harveys. My wife made the mistake of buying a piece of junk sofa and a few chairs from them, and paid extra for a 5 year guarantee. It wasn't long before the springs broke, they were fixed 3 times all within the space of a few months. Then the dog chewed the sofa, this should also have been covered under warranty but she made the mistake of telling them it happened a few days ago... there was a clause in the guarantee stating that all damage had to be reported within 24 hrs (or some nonsense - clearly designed to give them a chance to clean a wine stain or other soiling) This time delay invalidated the warranty.
I got so pissed off with the sofa quality that the whole lot was chucked out, less than 1 year after purchase.
Junk.
