Glass Shower Screens & Rain-X

Due to the original shower tray in our en-suite leaking, we have just had a new tray and cubicle installed with glass screens and doors.

As we live in a very hard water area, the glass gets lime/water spots on it every time we use the shower, and I do not want to be cleaning it everyday. Therefore, in true PH fashion I am thinking of applying Rain-X to the inside faces of glass, has anyone tried this and if so does it work

Have done it, saw some good beading to start with, but didn't keep up the re-application. Might try it again sometime soon.

I just use a squeegee every morning after use, takes a couple of seconds and leaves the screen dry and clean.

I use the Mr Muscle shower-shine spray.

Glass is always clean and sparkly and we're in the hardest water area in the UK.

Steam-cleaning with the small nozzle cleans up the scale on the plastic/rubber fixings once or twice a year.

+1 Seems to work a treat, or Cillit Bang

Or instead of wasting money and time with Mr Muscle, tackle the problem at scource and squeegy the panels after use as previously mentioned.

We use rainex in our shower, works a treat!

Thanks for all the replies, as I have a big bottle of Rain-X I will try that first and if I have to constantly re-apply it I will go for Mr Muscle
