I've wanted to deck part of the garden for ages but we've never bothered due to the hassle of maintaining it and keeping it looking good. Our old neighbour warned us off too as her kid slipped on theirs, cracking her head open.

Having given up on decking for a while I was told about this company a few weeks ago by a builder: http://www.timbertechuk.co.uk

They supply composite decking not some wood like timber, so doesn't rot, doesn't age badly and they say it's slip-free. It costs a lot more than normal decking you'd pick up from B&Q so was wondering if anyone here had any experience before I look into buying some.
