How do I remove the cut bit from the middle of a hole saw?

As the title says, I have cut a hole in a tyre with a hole saw. I am now left with a lump of rubber in the middle. I hadn't really thought about what happens next.

I wouldn't mind but I have another 10 holes to cut out of 5 tyres. Do I wait for it to cool down and try and dig it out with pliers or is there an easy way I am missing.

Please note, these are worn tyres I am using for a project, I am not cutting holes in neighbours tyres etc.

Most holesaws have holes in the back of them so you can knock the piece out from behind.

Unscrew the holesaw part from the central drill 'boss', then knock out rubber disc using a small screwdriver through the boss hole?
