Does anyone have a Magimix Le Toaster?

Are they any good.

Have gone through a Dualit and John Lewis one in recent years and need to buy another.

Bought one probably 4 or so years ago. Use it every day. Completely happy with it. Toasts evenly, has a defrost feature, takes reasonably large and thick slices. I think it looks great, is easy to clean, with a removable crumb tray. Best bit is the bell that rings when the toast is ready - makes my one year old son shout with excitement every morning! I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one if and when this one fails.

Yup, got the 4 slice one. Great bit of kit and as it's really just 2 big slots you can fit massive bloomer slices in it.

Mid you it probably wouldn't look so good after a few months when it's all full of carbon, burnt-on smoke and crumbs...

Went to look, didn't come back with one today, bought some Emma Bridgewater pottery instead.

The haven't half hiked the price up though. Last time I looked they were around £80, which was a few months ago. Now it's up to £125.00

Out of interest how do you go through a Dualit toaster? assuming it's the classic one - there is nothing to go wrong, and everything is fixable (new elements, £7, timer £20)... they should last for decades...

Good idea. You could even keep a few small rodents in it - then if you need a crucnhy snack just press the button.

If you want to break any toaster just cook a pop tart or two in them. Try to get it to work after that.

Hmmm, the one demo'd on TV at the weekend didn't come out that evenly browned. I'd rather spend the £160 on something useful.

Buy a magimix and you will only be allowed to use plastic knives.
