Well i think I am going to buy this a 4 seater and 3 seater Como from Furniture Village. I'm going for Ivory, so the sales lady roped me into getting their 5 year stain protection. Have I made a wise move?

Depends how much (if anything) you paid for it.

Bear in mind that if it's leather or suede you can buy perfectly good products over the counter to protect the fabric yourself. These products are well under £50....

It's fabric and I paid £250 for the sofa to be treated. I do feel like I've been asked to bend over and grab my ankles!

They tried to sell me some BS cover on a table i've just had from them, when i read the small print the "cover" wasn't worth the paper it was written on. Like so many of these products they are a waste of £££ IMO.

Having bought from there before, I'd suggest that what you've paid for treatment is around the same as the true value of the product.

Well to be honest, I think that most of these places are as rubbish as each other. I am not willing to spend thousands on a sofa. I might end up renting my house out and they furniture is going to get shagged anyways.

Don't pay for it, you are essentially paying for a insurance policy and your household insurance should cover you.

If you want something scotchguarded, do it yourself, you can buy a can of the stuff off me for £10, should do a sofa at least and is exactly the same as "commerical" stuff.
