radiator reflectors

are these worth fitting? im talking about those silver panels you can get that go behind your radiators to reflect heat. anyone fitted them have they made a difference? if so where did you get them from?

Dont have them at home, however my parents have them fitted to a couple of rads, and must say that those rooms always tend to get warmer much quicker, makes sense I suppose heat gets reflected back into room rather than some of it being absorbed into cold plastered wall

Once the reflector has warmed up I suppose it transmits heat into the wall anyway - so my hunch is that any benefit is transitory.

the back of the reflector is insulated, therefor forcing the heat away from the wall and back into the room
