coloured adhesive tape
Discussion
i wish to change the colour of an aluminium shop front. i am not allowed to paint it. i have a simple solution but not sure if it would work. i was thinking that if i were to cover it with a wide tape i could achieve the effect i am thinking of.
does anybody have any suggestions for the type of tape i need , would it stick to aluminium and any suggested supplliers. tried google and had a look but as usual too many results to get my head around.
thanks in advance

Definitely use vinyl, make sure it's water-based adhesive (called 3-5 year life I think) otherwise the longer-life stuff will leave adhesive behind and be a hassle to clean off.
Cheapest would be to buy a roll (600mm wide would do) and cut it yourself, but I think most vinyl retailers have slitting saws that can cut whole rolls to a specified width quite easily.
edit: clean everything thoroughly first though otherwise you might have a problem getting it to stick.
