i wish to change the colour of an aluminium shop front. i am not allowed to paint it. i have a simple solution but not sure if it would work. i was thinking that if i were to cover it with a wide tape i could achieve the effect i am thinking of.
does anybody have any suggestions for the type of tape i need , would it stick to aluminium and any suggested supplliers. tried google and had a look but as usual too many results to get my head around.
thanks in advance

Sounds more like you need to vinyl wrap it, rather than use tape.

Search for coloured duct tape.

I believe they are doing most 10-15year old ford and vauxhall colours now.

approx 63m @ 45mm wide. would need different widths to do the doors , 190mm and 750 mm

Definitely use vinyl, make sure it's water-based adhesive (called 3-5 year life I think) otherwise the longer-life stuff will leave adhesive behind and be a hassle to clean off.

Cheapest would be to buy a roll (600mm wide would do) and cut it yourself, but I think most vinyl retailers have slitting saws that can cut whole rolls to a specified width quite easily.

edit: clean everything thoroughly first though otherwise you might have a problem getting it to stick.
