Floor Lights

Hi all,

The missus is after a new floor lamp in our lounge, however all the ones she's seen that she likes are 150-200 quid, which seems a lot to me for a bit of wood and a bulb!

So, assuming that it's not that I'm tight and she is looking at pricey stuff, where is good for modern floor lights that won't cost me a fair whack of cash?

Is a floor lamp a standard lamp, or a light set into the floor?

Sorry, standard lamp.

She likes the white gloss ones that are all bobbly (if you've seen them you'll know what I mean) but we've yet to see one with a nice shade on it. The other ones she likes are the massive curving ones but we don't have the room for that.
