I would have thought it's worth a shot. There are often sheds on freecycle for the person who takes them to come and dismantle so the concept is similar. Personally as a buyer I'd probably prefer to see the thing in one piece and know that I had taken it down.
The problem that I can see if that you are going to restrict your market to those fairly close to you and those with big burly friends and a means of transporting the pieces and that might leave you exposed on price on a low starting cost auction.
Personally I would set a reserve and then show the reserve in the auction.
Where are you based? I'm looking for something like that to go at the top of our garden!

Piglet has 1st call - PM me as in the midst of deciding what to do with a part of my garden. If you want rid and I can fit in around my plans we could end up with a "win win". Location/Price are probably the blockers but we can discuss via PM.

What looks odd to me is that it's built sidways. If it faced you from the house it would look much for attractive (though probably not get the sun in it...)anonymous said:

That sounds like the fundamental requirement for selling something, yes.I'm sure that somebody who wants a nice summerhouse and is put off by the price of a new one will pay less for a good s/h one. The only minor snag is that they will have to dismantle and move it, but that's their problem and will be reflected in the sale price.
Take half a dozen good photos of it, inside and out, when the light is nice. Have a look on eBay for summerhouses - see if thee are other s/h ones listed and what the ads look like. Watch some until they end to gauge demand/value.
Auctions do get more interest if you start low, but bear in mind that if you start at £99 and only get one bid, you have to sell it for £99. So you can either set the starting price for the least you are prepared to accept for it, or set a reserve for that much and start at £1.00 to get the punters flocking. Make it clear that the buyer is responsible for dismantling and removal. Find out how much a new one costs and mention this so people can see how much they're saving.
It may not sell the first time but you can relist it until it does - I'd say it's more likely to go (and fetch a better price) in the Spring.

With the OP's username, saw it as a challenge to "stalk" and find that we are nearly 150miles adrift.
