Just had a nice guy come around a quote for repainting my three bedroom linked semi. There are a few cracks appeared which need attention, 10 years old and it’s settled, and this includes digging those out and being filled with a 2 pack solution, also cleaning the guttering and window frames cleaned.
All in £1600, and it will take a week

If that quote includes both the emulsioning (walls) and glossing (skirting, doors etc), and the materials and preparation then I'd say it's a good price.

For comparison, I had a quote to have a new-build, 4 bed, 140m2 house emulsioned (walls & celing, all white), 2 coats, for £900.

Yes. (would you use emulsion on an external wall? biggrin )

This is external, and yes I would use it (hence getting someone in to do the job right!)
