How much does a skip cost?

Sometime soo I'm going to need to get a skip! I need to clear out some rubble etc from down the side of my garage (and clear some rubbish from inside the garage).

What's the going rate for a skip? Do you pay for number of days rented or by the load?

It will depend on what size of skip you want as well.

Skip Prices - Approximate Guidelines

These prices do not include any landfill tax if required or any on-street license:

* 3 Yard - Approx £60 + VAT
* 4 Yard - Approx £75 + VAT
* 6 Yard - Approx £115 + VAT
* 8 Yard - Approx £135 + VAT
* 10 Yard - Approx £145 + VAT
* 12 Yard - Approx £150 + VAT
* 20 Yard Ro Ro - Approx £200 + VAT
* 40 Yard Ro Ro - Approx £300 + VAT
* 50 Yard Ro Ro - Approx £400 + VAT

By the load. A typical hire time is a week but it's up to what you agree.

Just google 'skip hire' and you'll see what's around.

I regularly get 6 yarders inc vat and all other taxes, charges for 120 quid. Alas thats in Swindon where everything is cheap

A thought - to save you the cost of skipping it, might be worth advertising the rubble on freecycle for collection.
