I'm tinkering with the idea of replacing the shower in my flat, but am going to need to match the tiles currently in the bathroom. Contacted the builder who converted the place 10 years ago and the place they thought supplied them then has no clue. Tried a couple of other places in town but got nowhere..

Any ideas? ANyone know of something like a tile matching service?

Wouldn't hold out much hope to be honest.

Even if you can locate the manufacturer, chances are they have been discontinued.

Can you not do the shower area in a contrasting tile?

Not holding out much hope, but giving it a go..

Problem is the rest of the bathroom is tiled the same way and I'm looking at replacing a shower cubicle with a slightly larger one soI'd need matching tiles within the volume thats enclosed.. Would look daft if I used different tiles and I don't really want to do the whole bathroom..

Try going to one of the specialist tile suppliers, not a builders m,erchant or the likes of B&Q and you might be lucky. We had a similar situation and I took one of the tiles to Porcellanosa and the girlie there identified it for me. Course it didn't help that much 'cos she couldn't find a supply of them, I only needed a couple of square metres and she could have got me a pallet load from the manufacturer in Italy. But at least I could phone round various tile shops and ask for the right one. In the end it worked out cheaper to rip the old lot off and start again.
