Evening all,
Herself and I need to replace the living room carpet, as it's very old and very knackered. Probably selling the house next year so don't want to go overboard, just looking for something of reasonable quality (IE can't look mega-cheap) and stain resistance... So probably synthetic rather than wool.
Room is about 4.1m by 4.5m. 2 doorways and a bay window. Almost all of the furniture wil be moved out beforehand.
Local place is quoting about £600 which seems a bit steep. Any ideas on how much would be reasonable.
TIA!

About £450. Abingdons stainfree tweed/twist, at £17sm inc fitting, and a £7sm underlay like Duralay majestic or cloud 9 cirrus.
Because your room is 4.1m wide, you'll have to have a join (unless you have 5m wide) but that will be more wastefull/costly. But if it's each side the fire place, it won't matter much.
