I have a door handle on the front door of my house that pulls away from the door slightly.

Obviousily I need to fix it, but can`t see how you access the handle from the front ?

How do you get access ? I imagine you can`t from the front as it would be a security risk.

Also does anybody know what the problem may be ? and how I go about fixing it ?

is it a trim that clips or pops off to reveal the fixings ?

If the whole thing is loose , the outside plate the handle is connected to , then you should see some screws on the inside handle plate. Tighten these up , it pulls the outside / inside tighter together. If it's just the handle thats loose not the plate then look for a grub screw at the base of the handle , push the handle in and tighten the grub screw.

If all else fails take the screws out inside and slide the outside handle off. Inspect the collar / circlip inside the handle. This is usually non adjustable and works loose with age in which case you will need a new pair of handles.

Your right, its not just the handle but the plate that attaches.

I will check those screws from the inside haven`t worked loose.

Thanks
