Slabs over imprinted concrete

Can it be done?

Have a front path in imprinted concrete but following an extension, need to re-route slightly, expand a touch at the front and extend round the side a bit.

Can I lay paving slabs on top and if so, any special treatment needed (the glaze has long since disappeared!)

Can't see why not. It's a good stable base. Be tempted to give the area a coat of PVA (dilute with water) first and then lay on a decent bed of mortar.
