Costs Of Splitting One Bathroom Into Two?
Discussion
Hey guys,
I'm planning the refurb on my flat at the moment, and would like some advice regarding the bathroom! It's a two bed flat, with one fairly big bathroom. The bathroom is next to the master bedroom, and it'd be very easy to put a door through into it. What I'd like to know, is a rough idea of what it might cost to split the main bathroom into two, create a stud partition wall and install bathroom suites into each. I'm mainly concerned with the plumbing/wall costs more than the suites, as I can work that out myself!
Cheers,
Dom

RE; the plumbing, its a weeks work...so £15k (labour only) should cover it !!!
And don't forget to listen to the nimrods on here who will advise you not to get a qualified sparks to do the electrical works (as anyone can safely mix water and electricity!!!)
Tiling, decorating and electrics add to the expense.
Good luck hommie
I'd allow about 7-10 days on each depending on complexity, amount of tiling etc plus a couple of days to construct the new wall and any new openings. Also factor in the cost for a spark to divide the rooms up electricaly.
Ballpark labour only circa £2.5k-£3.5k depending on the day rate for your trades and spec.
