Coming to the end of the renovation of the first room in my new project, meaning that I need to replace the room's door (it's currently a cheap nasty contract thing)

Any suggestions where to get a decent quality (preferably white) internal door from.
the usual DIY suspect stores only seem to have hollow doors and I'd like something a little more substantial.

Also planning on using 3 x ball bearing hinges per door - are these the best, and any recommended suppliers?

Have you tried wickes, don't seem to remember their doors being hollow.

Failing that for the period look a reclamation yard might be worth a punt.

Check what sizes you require before you spend anytime looking around .

An older property may have some strange sizes not available in the large diy sheds nowadays

Most builders/timber yards will deal with them.

A cheap door hung well with quality furniture feels better than a badly hung quality door with cheap furniture.

Magnet offer a good range of doors.

Forgive me for being a newbie on doors.....

The door that's being replaced is 835 x 1960mm (32.87 x 77.17")

I'm assuming that would mean I need the 33" door you speak of above.
are these Premdoors at 11 quid solid or hollow?

We bought Fire door versions of these in walnut (you can buy them in White)

Contempoary style solid doors that are so heavy you can only just about lift them! Fitted with 3 quality hinges they just glide shut, a bit pricey mind.

Cheap doors have a crap paper eggbox internals, slightly less cheaper,ie Howdens, use a chipboard core. The best quality veneered doors should have an mdf core.

After that ,you are into bespoke solid timber stuff.

Have a look at Todd doors website, they are based in Northholt middx.
