Is there some kind of mechanism that controls the water level? No matter how much we fill ours up, it drops to a certain level, then stops. It stops about 1cm above the filter vents, which is about 3 or 4 inches from where I thought it should be.
So, if there is such a thing, can it be adjusted, or is it now too late since it's up and running?
Cheers.

You've got to stop bombing in the pool Nick and splashing all the water out
Eh? With my slender profile, I hardly make a ripple mate!I've been saying since day 1 that it's leaking, but the guys that installled it say otherwise.
Time and time again, they have said it's the sun evaporating the water (Dubai based). Time and time again, I have asked them why it stops at a certain level. A mixture of plain stupidity and the language barrier means this conversation goes round in circles, until I get the 'ump, refuse to talk to them, and get the Mrs invoved.
Really easy to check for evaporation vs leak.
Place a bucket with a rock in it (to hold it down) on the first step and fill the bucket so it's level with the pool water. If the pool is leaking, the level in the bucket will be higher than the level in the pool after a day or so.
I was convinced that my pool was leaking, but it proved not to be the case. You can lose a lot of water through evaporation.
