Ok I am being dim, can someone please tell me how to hang up a mirror with a strap hanger?
I bought a Laura ashley mirror, and I was going to hang it off the picture rail but it says DO NOT DO THIS in big, use a strapping system?? There are no diagrams or fittings for the wall...

HELP!

Thanks

Ha! First result in Google for 'mirror strapping system' and guess what the first result is?

http://www.google.co.uk/#hl=en&source=hp&q...

Try this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Heavy-Picture-Mirror-Strap-H...

Or else, you put one of the D-jobbies in the earlier link on each side of the frame, about 2/3 of the way up, and fix wire bewteen them. Then hang the centre of the wire over a secure fixing - for a mirror due to the weight I'd suggest a screw/rawlplug, or even two spaced a foot apart to help take the load.

I can only think they don't recommend a picture rail because it will pull it off the wall... seems odd.

I've used strap hangers on 2 heavy mirrors in my house. I wouldn't mess about with wire, I used J hooks from B and Q.
