... Who can find me one of these that is 40mm across or less:

(the linked one is 57mm)

This is a genuine offer of a super special prize and maybe an ale or two to boot.

In theory they should exist as you can find half of the assembly at smaller sizes on the top of swiveling castors. I just cant seem to locate any frown

Do I win a prize if I tell you that you won't find one as 57mm is a universally standard size?

I was suggesting realism rather than defeatism......but I'll help you look, all the same.

I've had a good search and nothing out there in that size as far as I can see.

However, given the challenge you face, getting a small engineering firm, or someone you may know with a milling machine to knock up 14 in your chosen size could be an option.

Or maybe two thin PTFE surfaces (like you would tend to use on machinery fences) on a small axle sandwiched between hardwood plates with small tube glued in to prevent the bolt from wearing/elongating the hole?

Looks like a plan B to me. Good luck with it anyway...

Thanks.

I have thought that maybe i could ask a castor manufacturer to put two of the top plates they use for the swivel castors in the press that joins the two pieces together thus creating the desired plate.

I'm hoping it doesn't come to that.
