What grease for top of fence??
Discussion
A mate of mine has a problem with kids climbing over his side gate, then his back gate to get to where ever they are going. Hed suggested to me that he was gonna get some anti burgal paint, but at £25.99 or something is a bit expensive in my opinion, and also I doubt it would do the job, because it says apply to drains and stuff which are plastic.
Anyone got any ideas? Hes looking for somethin' that will stay there permenantly and that will also get their clothes suitably wrecked aswell. Hes had to replace both gates twice now because of it.
My suggestion was get some grease and some used car oil, mix a wee bit in and put that up. Job done...
Cheers!

Anti vandal paint is nowhere near that price. A 10 second google reveals...

A litre of it goes a long way.

err, stop being a pussy and go get some razor wire. they don't tend to jump over fences so well once they've opened up a major artery...
of course, that could become a hassel having to bury the bodies every morning, so maybe that semi permanant, permeable skin dye stuff would do the trick - takes literally months to come off skin and everyone knows you've been nicking. innit.

Personally I'd be worried about killing cats with that stuff. CLearly they don't know any better, and aren't doing any harm. Getting that stuff on a paw or fur will result in them swallowing it when they try to clean themselves = ill kitties.
I hope your friend doesn't park car outside unless he is OK with pawprints of anti-vandal pain on it
I'd use barbed wire.
It won't affect cats/birds too badly (might get a fright or two to start with) - but yobs won't like getting their kappa tracksuits ripped up.

I had nightmares about gripper rods as a child! To the OP, I'd still go with anti-vandal grease too- if there are railings, then cats can go through them, not over them. A little goes a long way. If you'd prefer a more organic, environmentally friendly route, I'd smear dog sh!t all over the top. If you don't retch in the process and don't mind "sh!tting on your own doorstep" so to speak. The kids will only come back once.

Perhaps just the warning sign would do the trick? You'd better have that anyway for when BiB come calling after the little oiks' parents put in complaints for ruined chavtastic garments...
Or go down the wall spikes route... I prefer the razor wire but it's unsightly & a potential legal minefield. Minefield, now there's an idea...
