Window safety catches

Can someone point me in the direction of some window safety catches for wooden windows that open outwards. Do you think I could fit them - I can wield a screwdriver.... th husband has a load of powertools.

I was thinking this very same thing today. I've got wooden framed windows and wondered what the best aftermarket security would be.

Do you mean anti-theft type one or child safety ones? or ones that do both?

Without taking over the thread, I meant security ones as there are no key locks on the windows. I assumed that the OP meant the same, otherwise I've jumped on the wrong bandwagon!
