I had to empty my pond to clean it out like I do every few years, the fish were transferred to a 10ft paddling pool, by the time I had finished the cleaning it was late so I left the fish in the pool overnight.

I had used water from the pond to fill the paddling pool with air block and I left the pond overnight with a pump and air block.

This morning I woke early and went out to find several of my bigger 9lb + fish lying on the grass next to the paddling pool, I have experienced this before so I simply put the fish back in the pond and they now (several hours later) seem fine.

My question is does anyone know of a health tonic that is suitable for Koi and Golden Orfe, Carp and Tench???

Can't advise on a tonic, my only suggestion is that to dechlorinate the new water ASAP and return them to their own stress free environment ASAP. smile

I use Schweppes with a dash of gin but don't know how it works for fish...

You need to cover the paddling pool!
