I find Mr Muscle oven cleaner the best, you can spray it on and leave it for an hour of so, and the grease comes off easy.

I hate myself for knowing this, but Oven Pride is the best.

Wouldn't know- never cleaned it.

Some sort of heavy stuff to dissolve the baked on grease i reckon? Supermarkets stock it.

Oven Pride - I asked on here a few weeks ago and bought some from Makro.

It worked wonders on the oven and shelves but it removed the coating from the baking trays.

Just had a look in my 'manly cupboard to see what I last used. Dr Beckmann active oven gel. Heat the oven to 50C, spray on and leave for an hour, then wash off. Jobs a good'un.

Why is there always something like a bit of bread crust between the glass on the oven door? How does it get there?

This: and a silicone liner on the bottom. All the shelves and runners are removable. The power steam cleaner in the local garage works wonders.
